Cheyenne, asked the question, how may times do Chinchillas need to take dust baths. Well a lot depends were you live, if its dry or Humid, if its summer or winter.
When its more humid you need to dust your chins more often, about 3 to 4 times a week, when its dry like winter, about 2 to 3 times a week. It all so depends on your chin and how much Lanolin (lanolin is like the oil in our skin) your chin makes, some of my chins do well with 2 to 3 times, where others need 4 to 5. I hope this helps answer your question

I am interested in adopting a chinchilla and I came across your site. I was looking to raise one and wanted to know if you had any baby chinchillas, how much you charge, and where you are located? Thank you.

Hi...I've tried contacting you via e-mail but I haven't recieved a response so I'll try to get a hold of you this way. I e-mailed you a few weeks ago inquiring about a baby chinchilla that you may have available and just a few days ago looked at the photos of your chin's for sale and a friend of mine and i are interested in the 2 brothers. If you could let me know if they are still available that would be wonderful. I am hoping to adopt very soon! =]

Re-sent it to your email. Ill also post it here, just in case.

My name is Jessica and I am interested in hearing more about the chinchillas you have for sale. My boyfriend and I are in the process of buying materials to build our own cage. We are hoping to get 2 baby chinchillas once we are finished, which could possibly be within the next month or so. I work at PETSMART in Taylor, Michigan and have been taking care of a chinchilla who was not taken care of very well by its former owner. It [which I have personally named 'Buddy'] was dropped off at the front door of the store. After being taken to the vet, it was found to have RINGWORM on over 10 parts of its body. We have treated the chinchilla for close to 3 weeks and he's beginning to come to life. I am possibly considering adopting him as well. Which would leave me with one missing friend. Either way, I was wondering if you would be having any new litters coming forth within the next month or so. I really enjoy the information you have presented along with your chinchilla's and believe you are a suitable breeder to purchase from. If two chinchilla's were purchased from you, would their be some sort of discount, etc?

My mother still lives in Flint, Michigan, so traveling to Linden would be no problem. Any information you could present to me would be greatly accepted and appreciated.

Thank you so very much,

Jessica

HI Jessica
The thing you need to be careful of is that ringworm can pass to people to, make sure you wash your hand really good after treating him or her. and if you end up taking him, make sure he completely cleared up. and dont put him with another chin until all the sores are all gone and the hair has come back, and it looks like the chin never had ringworm, the cage he is in need to sanitize daily, so he or she doesn't get re-infested by the ringworm. I worked for Petsmart also and it was pretty sad when i worked for them i was only one who new anything about chins. I was only into chins for a couple years, and i ended up bring the correct info on them to pass out to customers.

Yes I do give a 25.00 discount when buying in pairs, plus i give you supplies of feed, hay, and health grain supplement to get you started.
I will check my other email to see if I get.
Thanks
Laura

I was just wondering if at all possible, you could put up a link or make a "colors" page, about different colors of chins, with pictures, and the possible colors that come with breeding two different colors.

Hi Laura, I wanted to thank you again for bringing Daisy and Poppy into our lives! The kids and I fell in love pretty quickly. The chins are doing great. They get along really well with each other. I hope everything is going well with your and your family. Carol
