Jump Start Powder
$5.50 for 6oz. This is a very fine powder to be given to chinchillas that are sick, not eating or cant eat, and or just had surgery. This is a mix of hay, fiber, vitamins, grains, herbs, high in fiber, fat, calories, electrolytes, helps sooth stomach, digestive upset and gas. What ever allies your chin you can use this as a supplement to keep your chins weight and health up. This is on the same form as Critical Care From Oxbow. I formulated my own mix when one of my mom's was not feeling good after delivering kits.
You can mix with honey, blueberry or cranberry juice (No Sugars).
Mix enough for each feeding, you will want to mix it thin so its easy to feed with a syringe, about 2 teaspoons JSP to 2 tablespoons liquid. add JSP or liquid as needed.
Store powder in the freeze and just pull out what you need at that time.
Keep unused portion in the refrigerator up to 2 days.
Jump Start Powder will be good for up to 1 year in the freezer.
This very good to have on hand.
Some of my chins will eat the powder.
